Set up an Arabic and English meeting
Open Meeting and choose Arabic and English as the expected speech languages. Set Transcript language to English. Speech languages guide recognition; Transcript language determines the captions you read. Select Save privately if you want to revisit the meeting, or Live only for a session without a saved transcript.
Place the microphone for the conversation
Get permission from everyone before recording. Place your iPhone near the people speaking, away from loudspeakers and fans. Take turns where practical. A quiet room and a clear microphone signal help more than simply increasing playback volume. Keep a stable internet connection throughout the live session.
Check names, numbers and dialect-specific wording
Arabic dialects, accents, overlapping voices and switches into English can affect recognition and translation. Compare the original Heard text with the English captions, and ask the speaker to confirm important names, dates, amounts and decisions. Captions are assistance, not a certified translation.
Reply and keep the useful parts
Use Speak up to write a reply, choose Arabic, and translate and speak it aloud. When you finish a saved meeting, revisit the transcript and request a recap or action items. Review the source before sharing notes with colleagues.
