Transcription and translation serve different needs
Transcription turns speech into text in the same language. Translation presents that meaning in another language. In SpeakMyLingo, expected speech languages guide recognition while Transcript language controls the main captions. For a bilingual room, select the languages you expect to hear and the language you want to read.
Start with a clear recording
Allow microphone access, confirm participant consent, and select your iPhone, AirPods or connected microphone as appropriate. For a room meeting, place the microphone centrally and close enough to the speakers. Competing television audio, distance and people talking over one another can reduce accuracy.
Choose whether to save
Save privately retains encrypted meeting content on your iPhone for later review. Live only leaves no saved recording, transcript or recap after the session. Live processing uses online services in either mode; Live only does not mean offline. See the privacy policy for provider processing and operational records.
Turn the transcript into follow-up work
Finish a saved session to review the transcript, search for a topic, and request a summary, decisions or action items. Check important wording against the source and correct errors before relying on it. Selected tasks can be added to Apple Reminders.
What does it cost?
